Serenity Home Transformations is a locally owned exterior remodeling company serving Cedar Rapids and surrounding Eastern Iowa communities. We're building dependable in-house crews made up of people who care about craftsmanship, take ownership of their work, and want opportunities to continue developing their skills.
We don't expect every applicant to know every product we install. We are willing to train the right people on products and installation methods they haven't worked with before. However, applicants should already have hands-on construction, carpentry, remodeling, or installation experience.
This is not a no-experience or general laborer position.
Applicants should already understand construction basics and be comfortable working with tools.

Developing Installer
Ideal for someone who:
- Has hands-on construction, carpentry, remodeling, or installation experience
- Safely uses common hand and power tools
- Understands basic measurements and construction practices
- Can follow instructions and retain training
- Is dependable and ready to work
- Wants to develop additional remodeling skills
We'll train the right person on additional products and installation methods when they already have a solid construction foundation.
$21–$24/hr
Installer I
Ideal for someone who:
- Has residential construction or remodeling experience
- Can perform common installation tasks correctly
- Has experience with windows, siding, decks, carpentry, doors, trim, or similar work
- Understands jobsite safety
- Can complete assigned tasks without constant supervision
- Wants to develop broader exterior remodeling skills
$25–$27/hr
Installer II
Ideal for someone who:
- Has strong residential remodeling experience
- Can independently complete major portions of projects
- Has replacement window and/or siding experience
- Can troubleshoot problems found in existing homes
- Produces clean, professional finished work
- Requires limited supervision
- Communicates professionally with homeowners

Experienced / Lead-Level Installer
Ideal for
- Replacement window installation
- Residential siding installation and repair
- Aluminum brake and exterior trim work
- Exterior finish carpentry
- Deck construction and repair
- Door installation
- Troubleshooting exterior problems and leaks
- Service and warranty work
- Directing less-experienced installers
- Taking ownership of jobs from start through completion
Higher pay requires higher capability.

This Is Remodeling — Not New Construction
Existing homes aren't always square, level, dry, or built the way they're supposed to be.
Sometimes you open something up and find rot.
Sometimes somebody before you did something incorrectly.
Sometimes the obvious solution isn't the right solution.
Our installers need to be able to evaluate problems, think through solutions, ask questions when necessary, and help determine how to fix things correctly.
For experienced installers, this type of problem-solving ability is something we're willing to pay more for.
For developing installers, we're looking for people who already understand construction and want to learn how to handle increasingly complex situations independently.

What You Can Expect From Us
What We're Looking For
- Have previous hands-on construction, carpentry, remodeling, or installation experience
- Be comfortable using common construction tools and equipment
- Have a valid driver's license
- Reliably report to work
- Safely lift and carry construction materials

Developing Installers
You don't need to know every product or installation method. You should already have construction experience, know your way around tools, work hard, listen, retain what you're taught, and continue improving.
